After the hectic beginning we made to the course last week we will take a slightly gentler pace on campus this coming Wednesday (17 June). We will still cover two learning themes on the day - Discussion and Presentation Skills in the morning, followed by Using Feedback in the afternoon - however there will be more time for discussion and reflection. This includes an opportunity to really get your Team Project off the ground, by taking advantage of the different learning spaces and resources whilst you are together on campus with your fellow group members. A detailed format for the day (including venues and timings) can be found on Week 2 Introduction page of this site. Please note - some venues are different from those we used in Week 1.
You might remember from our Introduction to the Academic Skills course that we are committed to making class materials available on the Monday evening ahead of each Wednesday sessions. This means that if you would like to read, download or print a copy of lecture slides in advance of class they are available for you to do so on the Discussion and Presentation and Using Feedback pages of this site.
Although we've now officially moved into Week 2 of the course, if you haven't already done we would strongly urge you to spend a little bit of time reflecting on the themes from week 1 and, in particular, completing the short quiz on the Critical Thinking page.
We look forward to seeing you in class.
James and Alice, Course Coordinators
